These illustration were created to inform consumers of the various fauna found throughout the yellowstone state park. The illustration style is influenced by traditional lithographic print style. This style is used to evoke the heritage of early park guides and travel posters, giving visitors a nostolgic connection to the park's history. This texture adds warmth and character, while bridging the past tothe present.
This map was inspired by classic Yellowstone artwork with bold outlines, warm mineral colors, and that nostalgic screen printed look. I wanted to capture that same vintage energy while making something clean and easy for visitors to navigate. I sketched every landmark and illustration by hand, simplifying the shapes and adding texture so the map feels lived in and expressive without losing clarity. The animals are placed in areas where they are commonly seen in the park, helping visitors connect the artwork to real experiences on the ground. The final result blends the charm of old park prints with a modern, functional layout that helps travelers instantly recognize each point of interest.
